2004 Stroke Play Championship
May 15th and 16th, 2004 Seneca Falls Country Club had its 4th Annual Stroke Play Championships and the weather proved to be factor. Competition was halted on Saturday afternoon due to rain and threatening thunderstorms.  Two groups resumed play on Sunday morning at 8am to completed the weather shortened 1st round and turned right around to start their second rounds of competition.  Mike Stackus Jr., fresh off a excellent collegiate spring season, left no reasonable doubt who was the best scratch player in the group.  Bob Laprade spanked up on the Division I boys utilizing his new swing, courtesy of Head Golf Professional, Sean Brennan, and his matched set of Cleveland Woods and irons.  The players enjoyed the competition and a number of "skins" were awarded to those fortunate few.  An excellent luncheon buffet was prepared by Perry Wright and his staff for the surviving drowning victims.  This is an excellent event so please consider joining the competition in 2005.
